UK techno producer ADRIANNA releases Brazilian producer Alex Stein’s remix of ‘Rise Connection’ on her own TMPL Music on 9 October 2026.

Berlin-based and São Paulo-rooted Alex Stein is known for a hard-hitting, melodic sound, with earlier releases on Drumcode, Terminal M and VOLTA. Stein says: ‘I really enjoyed working on this remix! Adrianna’s vocals grabbed me straight away’. The remix opens with high-energy house-style percussion, and a sample of ADRIANNA’s vocals sits at the centre of the track, which runs five and a half minutes and repeatedly breaks down and rebuilds. The release is tied to a sold-out show at Amsterdam Dance Event 2026, where ADRIANNA will play Amsterdam’s Faralda Crane on 23 October, the same day ADRIANNARCHY is officially released.

Faroe Islands-born, Reykjavík-based producer Janus Rasmussen released his solo album ‘Inert’ in June, and the rework becomes available from September 18. The German duo, Jonas and Marius, has previously released on NORR, Cercle Records, Anjunadeep Explorations, Ki Records and Stil vor Talent, and its performances have included Burning Man, Fusion Festival and the Himalayas. Jeff Mills on AI in music

Detroit techno pioneer Jeff Mills takes a relatively open view of artificial intelligence. He sees it mainly as a tool that makes knowledge, research and creative concepts more accessible.

According to a report by Time To House, based on an interview with The Fader, Mills is not afraid of the technology and sees its main benefit in making complex subjects easier to grasp. The pioneer clearly separates conceptual work from production: he uses AI for research, developing ideas and planning projects, but not for making or editing music. Back in March he said he still works in the studio without AI and without a computer, though he can imagine using it for complex concept albums. By contrast, the article notes that Chris Liebing considers AI a possible tool for individual tasks, while Thomas Bangalter largely rejects its creative use.

Interview: pølaroit

The duet pølaroit discuss their approach to electronic music, blending melancholic melodies, analogue textures and self-recorded drums. Their sound balances introspection with movement on the dancefloor.

In conversation with Techno Station, pølaroit describe themselves as an electronic live act focused on melancholic music, with Jonas, a trained pianist, and Marius, who comes from percussion, recording most of their drums and piano themselves so each track becomes a personal snapshot in time. They say their inspiration came from neoclassical projects that combine piano with electronic elements, but they wanted to take that approach to an emotional, danceable level. The duo also reveals that it is preparing what it calls the biggest project of its journey so far, a new chapter meant to expand the visual world around its sound. In their rework of Janus Rasmussen’s ‘Doom’, they kept his voice as a defining element and deliberately held back to preserve his original ideas.
