About

Techno for Life is for people for whom techno is more than background music.

Every day we pick out what matters on the scene: releases, festival announcements, club news and the controversies everyone is talking about. You get the essentials in a few sentences, and when a story grabs you, expand the fuller summary or go straight to the source.

The set of the day is eight tracks arranged like a real set: warm-up, new music, peak time and a classic. Put it on in the morning or add it to your own playlist.

The Academy is a daily lesson in techno history and culture, from 1980s Detroit through Berlin's bunkers to today's festivals. A few minutes a day and within a month you'll know where it all came from.

Importance is shown like sequencer steps on a TR-909 drum machine: the more steps lit, the bigger the story for the scene.
